Teaching About the Heart

Posted in Blog.

heart treeHow do we listen to our hearts so that we can follow them? How can we fulfill the deep longings to know who we really are? What are life’s greatest truths and goals?

This is the teaching from the heart. Just connecting with our heart and feeling gradually unfolds Athe answers to these questions for each of us, within ourselves, not from someone else’s ideas.

It took Diana many years to find this link with the heart. For thirty two of those years, she was looking for an inner voice. Calming the pool of her thought, she would wait to hear a voice of guidance in her head. “When the voice came, it was just my voice, any wisdom in it was watered down with me. “ It was not until a gentle friend helped her to understand, if she wanted to hear the voice of Love, from love, the seat of all wisdom, then it must come from the heart. Gentle guidance took her through layers of ideas and sadness to feel a calm place in her heart. After a short time, through the calm began to emanate Light and Love, though not an emotional love. “I realized that a spark of the Divine was in my own heart and as I smiled to that spark, giving it permission, it began to radiate the qualities of the Divine. I felt overwhelming gratitude to the Divine Source that I was able to feel such a thing, the fulfillment of so much human longing.”

With practice and guidance, all those who have taken these steps are able to feel guidance from the heart. “I began to long to act and think more and more from my heart and from Love. This led to healed relationships, mind, and even body. And the Love led to feeling what I was here to do.”

Workshops on opening and enjoying the benefits of the heart, the Open Heart Workshops, are available through Padmacahaya International Institute for Inner Study. There are eight teachers in North America teaching Level 1 and Level 2, each one day classes. Advanced levels are available annually in North America and are taught by the founder, Irmansyah Effendi, or others.

From the HeartThe simple expression “Listen to your heart” holds treasures. By being guided from the heart, we learn how to let our hearts feel the way through the stuck places in our life. As a counselor and guide, Diana uses her heart to support her clients in their healing. The heart leads her to choose love, support, and the gentlest path to wholeness. It also enables her to feel what her clients are experiencing in such a way that she can best guide their process.

We are Meant to Be HappyThat has always been something we strive for in this life. In fact, if we look at the motivations behind our thoughts and actions—conscious and unconscious—they are all to get us closer to the feeling, or at least the idea, of happiness. Some of us have long asked whywe cannot hold on to happiness. For all of the scholarship and human insights across the centuries, nobody has found a complete and enduring answer. Perhaps because it has been too close to see.
